A: It’s never too early to start training your puppy! We recommend beginning formal training as soon as your puppy is 8 weeks old. Puppies are impressionable and eager to learn. Our Puppy Program, designed for puppies 8 weeks to 6 months old, includes puppy socialization classes where your puppy can interact with other dogs, build confidence, and learn appropriate play. These classes set the foundation for your puppy’s future behavior and social skills.
Socialization between 8 to 16 weeks is vital for shaping how your puppy will react to new people, places, and experiences. Our trainers guide you and your puppy through structured exercises, helping you address common challenges like excessive barking, rough play, and potty training. You’ll also learn to handle these behaviors, setting your puppy up for a lifetime of good habits.
In addition to socialization, our group training classes teach you how to address behaviors like jumping, biting, and leash pulling. By starting early, you’ll be able to build a strong bond with your puppy, creating a relationship based on trust and respect.

For Puppies:
Puppies have different requirements than other dogs. They don’t need to have received all of their vaccinations yet, but they must be under a vet's care and have a vet checkup before attending training. Additionally, puppies must have a recent negative fecal test to rule out parasites like Giardia. For All Other Dogs:
To ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our classes, all other dogs (those beyond the puppy stage) must be up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. Additionally, for new dogs we ask that dogs have a recent negative fecal test to rule out parasites like Giardia. If you have any questions or concerns about your dog’s health or vaccinations, feel free to contact us. We're here to help ensure your dog is ready to attend!

A: What a great question! Most of our clients have been pleasantly surprised by the results they have experienced through our virtual training options. Virtual training can be as effective as in-person sessions for many dogs. Whether you're working on foundational manners or addressing specific behaviors, virtual training gives you the flexibility to learn and implement training at home. Plus, you’re working with your dog in the environment where behaviors are happening, which can make a big difference.
In fact, virtual training is especially helpful for dogs still building confidence or working through reactivity. By focusing on the fundamentals in an environment that’s less overwhelming, we can gradually build their confidence. This allows your dog to gain the skills needed to handle in-person training environments with greater success.
We offer virtual group classes, virtual private lessons, and our virtual self-guided video course- Manners Matter, along with ongoing support to ensure you're always on the right track.
-

A: Our memberships and private training sessions cover all dogs in your household, so you’re welcome to have multiple dogs at your private lessons or virtual classes. For in-person classes, we allow you to bring only one dog at a time per class, but feel free to alternate dogs when attending classes. For services like day train or board and train, each dog will require an individual booking.
