Meet Krista, Our Trainer

Krista has always had a love for animals - especially dogs; even though growing up, her family pet was always a cat. She got her fix of dogs by dog walking/house-sitting starting her senior year in high school. She even started her own pet-sitting business and has taken care of close to 60 pets including dogs, cats, and even a pig!

In 2017, Krista finally got her first dog, a Cavapoo named Kaden. She went to a few local dog events and found a Paws and Possibilities table tent. When she got home, she went online and immediately signed up for classes! Krista worked Kaden every day and thought, he was easy, why not add another dog to the mix, but this time a girl? A little over a year later, Kaden's true sibling, Adalynn, "Addie" was added to the pack! Kaden taught Addie a lot, but Krista admits she did not spend as much time training Addie as she did with Kaden, so you may see her attending some classes!

While Krista has another full-time office job, she firmly believes in Paws and Possibilities' philosophy and methodology and was honored to be brought on as an apprentice trainer. Krista has enjoyed watching the progress of handlers and their dogs transform to a loving, respectful relationship. In her spare time, Krista volunteers with Kaden at pet therapy visits, runs her dog's social media accounts, sets up local doodle events for the DMV area, enjoys hiking, can be seen paddleboarding with the pups in Annapolis during the summer, and loves spending time with her family and friends!
